Adding resistors

Nice and easy one for today. We looked at how resistors add in series and parallel.

In series the resistances add
In parallel the conductances add

Conductance = 1/resistance
Conductance is measured in siemens (S)

For more information and some practice questions have a look at: (this wiki book is good for the whole course).

Here is an outline of the practical and some worked examples of questions that you could be asked

Finally here is someone else go through these ideas There are a series of videos showing examples. Perhaps not the most exciting presentation in the world but it is a good shirt bow tie combo which more than makes up for it.
